this was maybe the most awesome movie ive seen in the last few years, i cought myself with tears in my eyes from the beauty cameron rendered onto the imax screen . in my opinion he outdid himself again with creating some quite fantastic new technologies like the motion captured virtual cameraman , who is able to move around in the finished mocapped, and sampled virtual set , by using a monitor rig with motion capture markers, and move around in the mocap studio with it, displaying on the monitor the view the cameraman would have in that virtual space, thats just bloody brilliant.. and that awesome spatial mocap set was even used for recording the flight paths of the banshees, which looked quite funny as they ran around with little banshee models in it, playing with them like kids with toys, for having the motions of that little models captured… facial expression motion capturing wasnt really something new, but using it directly on the actual actors, while their body performance gets captured aswell was like a first timer..
